WHO’S CALLING YOUR SHOTS

The stats, the facts, the risks; this seminar highlights alcohol use and young people, looking at peer pressure, community and cultural influences, drink spiking, binge drinking and aggressive behaviour. This seminar provides young people with an opportunity to consider their own expectations and beliefs around drinking choices; as well as looking at how their decisions impact themselves and the people around them in a factual and safe way.

ALERT NOT ALARMED

This seminar focuses on personal safety, looking at vulnerability Vs responsibility. It seeks to stimulate young people to consider what are the things that make them more vulnerable and to empower them to own the choices and responsibilities that they do have. This seminar aims to support young people to look after themselves and look after their mates.

FOOL PROOF PARTY GUIDE

Working with senior school parents, this engaging 1 ½  hour workshop will provide parents with information around legalities, duty of care, and facilitate discussions on how to communicate expectations and information for some of the biggest celebrations of the year. Encounter Youth look forward to partnering with your school community, assisting you to engage your parents in this informative workshop that will have everyone reminiscing their year 12 experiences

SAFETY AT SCHOOLIES

Everything a year 12 needs to know, straight from the event managers of SA’s largest annual youth festival, Schoolies Festival. Bringing real life examples and scenarios, students are challenged to think about all aspects of the event and how they can celebrate safely. Communicating police and community expectations, festival information and promoting key health messages, this seminar gives the students the where to’s and how to’s on the most essential thing about the Schoolies Festival.
